I say hobby, but that word does just not describe the subject to the fullest.
Passion would be more appropriate.
I do a lot of scrapbooking and was mulling over the thought of buying the new computer type cutting machines that everyone has.
I work in a craft store and I am constantly bombarded with all the "new" items that come into the market every day. It seems never ending and it is so hard to keep up. The price of all the new machines are a little beyond my budget also.
I went online and started researching, as I always do. I came across a number of sites with the most beautiful cards I have ever seen. They have inspired me. I still plan on working on my scrapbooks, but I will also keep exploring the world of card making.
I adore the "art" of it. The color, the beautiful words and thoughts, the awesome beauty of people's ability to make works of art. Anyone can make a card. I am just starting, but there are many people online that are totally willing to share their work and knowhow.
I salute you. I also will share my photos and works of art so that hopefully, many others will follow in my footsteps. These crafty women and men have opened a whole new world of discovery for me. I can create a card, give it to someone, and spread the "joy".
I am very much a "hands on" person. I decided to purchase one of the hand crank die cut machines.
The web site that I chose to "learn" with is http://www.amazingpapergrace.com/
Thank you Becca. Your cards are everything I aspire to. Thank you for the recipes after every card and item you work on. I am new to this art of card making and I can use all the help I can get.
